Thank You Coach Beamer and congratulations! Hokie Nation loves you and will never, ever forget what you did for us. This meteoric rise from unknown independent to a top 5 team culminated in the 1999 national championship game, eerily similar to FSU’s shocking ascension from 0-11 in 1973 to a potential. along with a world class Geology program, a Veterinary College that has a waiting list miles long, and so much more that would never be talked about if all of that dolomite didn’t rock on Game Day!
